Vehicle left pinned under tanker truck in Tri-State crash

Multiple lanes on the inbound Tri-State Tollway were blocked near 75th Street after a car became trapped under a tanker truck Tuesday. NBC’s Sky 5 helicopter was over the scene on Tuesday afternoon where a red sedan was pinned underneath a tanker that was being transported by a semi on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on the Mile Long Bridge near Willow Springs, with traffic delays building well before the crash site. There were no immediate reports of injuries at the scene, but multiple lanes were blocked, with traffic able to get by in the two outside lanes of the highway. Gaper’s delays were also reported on the outbound side of the tollway. We will keep this story updated with details as they become available.
