Confidence has increased that flooding along the Broad River will develop this weekend. Interests all along the Broad River, even as far upstream as Bat Cave are urged to monitor river levels and take appropriate action as needed. WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. WHERE...(English) Broad River at above Sandy Run Ck, 3 SSW Boiling Springs. WHEN...From Sunday night to Monday morning. ADDITIONAL DETAILS - At 1:15 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 2.5 feet and rising. A crest exceeding 12.0 feet is likely to occur on Sunday with the river reaching 14.0 a probable worst case scenario. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Monday morning to a crest of 13.2 feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.2 feet on 09/26/1929. -
