Western Rockingham County in north central North Carolina Stokes County in north central North Carolina Southeastern Surry County in northwestern North Carolina Henry County in south central Virginia The City of Martinsville in south central Virginia Patrick County in southwestern Virginia Southern Franklin County in west central Virginia WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT. IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS - At 456 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Rapid river rises have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages Baker Branch, Belews Creek, Big Beaver Island Creek, Bassett Branch, Archies Creek, Beaver Creek, Ararat River and Anglin Branch. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area through 6 AM. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Eden, Martinsville, Rocky Mount, Wentworth, Mayodan, Madison and Pilot Mountain. - For flooding safety information, please visit
