At 1106 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles south of Mebane to near Sanford, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Raleigh, North Carolina State Fairgrounds, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Sanford, Pittsboro, Garner, Carrboro, Fuquay-Varina, and Angier. This includes the following highways Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 175 and 181. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 263 and 298. Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 1 and 7. Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 0 and 10. US 1 between Mile Markers 69 and 101. The Durham Freeway between Mile Markers 2 and 15.
