At 1138 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Sanford to near Antioch. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...

Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Fayetteville, Sanford, Raeford, Lillington, Fort Bragg, Fuquay-Varina, Dunn, Angier, Benson, and Godwin. This includes the following highways Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 81 and 41. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 311 and 332. US 1 between Mile Markers 69 and 73.
