The Weishar family started the nonprofit organization and inaugural music festival after losing their brother, Andrew, to colorectal cancer at age 21. Since then, they ve been inspired by his request that they pay forward the kindness that was shown to them during their struggle. The only thing he asked of us was to pay forward that love and kindness that was shown to our family, said Dan Weishar, Andrew s brother and event co-founder. The organization has raised $4.3 million since 2013, helping nearly 800 families in their cancer journey. The families that receive these funds, their lives are changed as a result of this as they re facing this battle, said Weishar. The 2026 lineup features Russell Dickerson, Quinn XCII, and Five For Fighting. In the past, the event was hosted at the Salt Shed, and this is the first year it will take over Navy Pier s Aon Grand Ballroom on Saturday, November 14. Multi genre, indoor music event, said Weishar. It s a big party, highlighted by three really big artists we bring in. Proceeds benefit adolescents and young adults battling cancer. Cancer support is built for children, and it’s built for older adults, according to the Weish4Ever organization. The people in between, ages 15 to 39, often fall through the cracks.
