Ogden Tracker
Every road closure, water issue, outage, construction notice and transit alert the city's agencies, utilities and newsrooms reported across Ogden and the close-in metro, counted week by week. No login, no feed. Just the numbers, and where they landed.
What the numbers say
A steady week on the roads, with MP 336 coming up most. Water and construction were quiet.
Half of Ogden's road incidents clear within 5.4 hours. The longest ran 23 hours.
Measured from 32 with a start and end time, the last 2 weeks.
Half of Ogden's outages clear within 4.3 hours. The longest ran 13 hours.
Measured from 26 with a start and end time, the last 2 weeks.
Ogden averaged 2.2 transit alerts a day over the last 2 weeks.
Measured from 31 counted, the last 2 weeks.
Week by week
Transit alerts fell from 55 to 18 last week. Outages eased. Road has held steady.
In the week of Oct 11, transit alerts ran three times a normal week, and 42 of the 55 landed on Sunday Oct 11.
Measured from 55 counted transit alerts, 42 on Sunday.
Weeks start on Sunday. One thing is counted once per place per day, and something that runs for days counts on the day it started. Brief lane blocks that cleared inside an hour are left out, closures scheduled to run longer than a week are roadworks rather than incidents, an outage counts when it left 10 or more customers without power, and stories about policy or funding are not incidents.

Areas, most affected first
25 placedWhat the map says
Tap a row to see it on the map.Areas are measured from 25th Street and Washington Boulevard in downtown Ogden: within 2 miles is Downtown Ogden, within 6 miles (about where US 89 meets the foothills) is that side of Ogden, and beyond that is the metro. An item with no coordinates is counted in the totals but not placed on the map. Corridors come from the road a source named. Interstates are split into the stretch north, south, east or west of downtown Ogden, since one number for a whole interstate hides where the trouble is. Areas are the cities and towns of Weber County, from the state's municipal boundary layer. Unincorporated Weber County (Ogden Valley, including Eden and Liberty) is not drawn.
Sources are read every ten minutes, and the counts are rebuilt whenever one of them publishes something new. Last counted Oct 26, 2:07 AM MT.
Only what these sources published. Nothing inferred. Counted once when an agency and a newsroom report the same thing.
