Road, water, power and construction have held steady. Transit stayed quiet.

Weeks start on Sunday. One thing is counted once per place per day, and something that runs for days counts on the day it started. Brief lane blocks that cleared inside an hour are left out, closures scheduled to run longer than a week are roadworks rather than incidents, an outage counts when it left 10 or more customers without power, and stories about policy or funding are not incidents.

What the map says

Tap a row to see it on the map.

Areas are measured from the Government Center in downtown Toledo: within 2 miles is Downtown Toledo, within 8 miles (about where I-475 runs) is that side of Toledo, and beyond that is the metro. An item with no coordinates is counted in the totals but not placed on the map. Corridors come from the road a source named. Interstates are split into the stretch north, south, east or west of downtown Toledo, since one number for a whole interstate hides where the trouble is. The areas are the incorporated cities and villages in the Toledo area from the Census Bureau's limits, Ohio and Michigan alike. Toledo's own council districts are not drawn yet. Unincorporated townships are not drawn and are shown on the metro map.

Sources are read every ten minutes, and the counts are rebuilt whenever one of them publishes something new. Last counted Nov 4, 9:39 AM ET.
Only what these sources published. Nothing inferred. Counted once when an agency and a newsroom report the same thing.
